The Heart of AbleCare

Executive Chef

adding final touches onto care home catered pie

Tristan

Tristan began his culinary journey at just 17, starting as a runner at Wetherspoons and quickly working his way through a variety of kitchen roles. Along the way, he developed his skills on the job, explored diverse cuisines, and built a strong foundation in professional catering. His experience includes working at the Hilton in Cardiff, leading private dining at Mugshot in Bristol, serving as Head Chef for the Breaking Bread Festival, and even running his own vegan street food stall at festivals.

Tristan brought this rich mix of talent and creativity to AbleCare Kitchens in early 2024, where his impact has been immediate. Since joining, he has helped transform our menus, supporting residents to eat more, eat better, and benefit from fuller, more nutritious meals that truly enhance daily life

Tristan also played a key role in the design and setup of AbleCare Kitchens, shaping not only how the kitchen looks, but how it functions day to day. From designing the kitchen layout for maximum efficiency and flow, to building the systems for how meals are prepared, processed, and dispatched, he has helped create an operation that supports quality, consistency, and reliability at every stage. His hands-on experience ensures that every part of the process works seamlessly, from kitchen to care home.
